The Ukrainian Armed Forces Struck A Key Military Plant Near Moscow

The Central Research Institute of Precision Engineering (TsNIItochmash) is on fire in the Klimovsk neighborhood of Podolsk, near Moscow following a strike by the Armed Forces of Ukraine, according to an OSINT analyst ASTRA based on two images taken from different vantage points.

The first was taken from Industrialnaya Street, and the second from the grounds of the Wildberries “Koledino” warehouse. Both locations are in Podolsk, as is the attacked defense industry enterprise.

JSC “TsNIItochmash” is a defense industry enterprise that is part of the state corporation “Rostec.” It is located in Podolsk, near Moscow. The company specializes in the development of small arms, combat gear, and ammunition. The most well-known of these are the “Ratnik” combat gear, the “Val” silenced assault rifle, as well as the “Vintorez” silenced sniper rifle and the SR-1 “Gyurza” (Serdyukov’s self-loading pistol, SPS), which are used by special operations units.

Due to its support for the Russian military-industrial complex, JSC “TsNIItochmash” is subject to sanctions imposed by the EU, the U.S., Ukraine, Canada, Japan, Switzerland, and New Zealand.
