To this day, the public still does not know the truth about his real killers.
On July 20, 2016 in Kyiv, the well-known Belarusian, Russian, and Ukrainian journalist Pavel Sheremet was killed.
The car in which Pavel was driving to work exploded at an intersection of central streets in Kyiv. It was impossible to save Pavel—his injuries were fatal.
Police reported that an explosive device with a yield of up to 600 grams of TNT equivalent had been planted under the car and was remotely detonated.
Ukraine still does not know the truth about his real killers, while the scandalous case—in which a musician and veteran Andriy Antonenko, combat medic Yana Dugary, and cardiac surgeon Yulia Klimenko as suspects, has effectively been “put on hold.”
Pavlo Sheremet was buried on July 23, 2016, in Minsk.
