The "oil rain" was replaced by "snow" made of ash.

As a result of a successful attack on Ukraine on a Russian logistics facility, a black cloud of smoke is rolling toward Moscow, obscuring the sun. The monitoring group Exilenova+ reported this on Telegram.

The channel shared photos and videos showing the scale of the event. The fire at the facility is visible even from an airplane.

“We’re waiting for satellite images—it should look impressive,” Exilenova+ captioned the corresponding video. It also showed the Russians’ unsuccessful attempts to extinguish the fire at the Kremlin’s logistics hub using aircraft.

“Maybe now they’ll finally start wondering why it burned down?” the page noted, addressing Russians.

The DeepState monitoring service, which collaborates with the Ukrainian Ministry of Defense, released satellite images of the scene.

“Decommunization has taken place in the Moscow area—smoke from the strike is visible from space. Photo courtesy of the Ventusky weather service. Now it really looks like Mordor,” the channel wrote, referring to the fictional region in the southeast of Middle-earth, the kingdom of the Dark Lord Sauron, described by J. R. R. Tolkien in his *The Lord of the Rings*.

Supernova+ also shared videos from eyewitnesses and their reactions to the black cloud (warning: contains profanity).

“Moscow Region... First it rained oil, now it’s snowing ash,” he captioned the footage, which shows distinctive ash flakes settling on the ground.

“Moscow is thrilled,” the public page commented on the plume of smoke.
