A Child Injured In The Crash Involving A Belarusian Bus Is Set To Undergo A Complex Surgery

A multidisciplinary team is scheduled to operate on him today.

The condition of all Belarusians injured in the Bryansk Region remains stable after their first night in Minsk healthcare facilities. This was reported by the Ministry of Health, according to BelTA.

The Republican Scientific and Practical Center for Pediatric Surgery noted:

— The children are stable and spent a quiet night.

As for the patient in the most serious condition, he is in the anesthesiology and intensive care unit. A multidisciplinary team—comprising pediatric surgeons, an ENT specialist, a maxillofacial surgeon, trauma surgeons, and an ophthalmologist—is scheduled to operate on him today.

The adult patient, who was admitted to the Main Military Medical Clinical Center No. 432 of the Armed Forces of Belarus, is also in stable condition. His condition is moderate. Doctors have not ruled out transferring him from the intensive care unit to a regular ward today.

As previously reported, a woman was killed during the tragedy in the Bryansk Region, when a bus carrying young soccer players from Rechitsa was attacked by a drone. Eight people were injured, including six children, two of whom were in serious condition.

Belarus believes the drone was Ukrainian. The Security Service of Ukraine stated that received a Russian document that casts doubt on the theory that Ukrainian UAVs were involved in the attack on the bus carrying Belarusian citizens in the Bryansk region. If the document’s authenticity is confirmed, it could significantly alter the assessment of the incident.
