An Air Raid Alert Was Issued In Vilnius

Due to potential danger from the air.

On the morning of Saturday, June 13, residents of Vilnius received a warning that an air raid alert had been declared in the city. It was lifted about 20 minutes later.

As reported by the Lithuanian Armed Forces, it was declared due to a “possible danger in the air.”

— Stay calm and find a safe place. If you notice a suspicious object flying or falling, call 112; do not approach it. We will inform you when the danger has passed in a separate message," the alert states.

About 20 minutes after this notification, a new one was issued—canceling the air raid alert.

“There is no air threat. Residents may leave shelters or safe places. Remain vigilant,” the text states.

As a reminder, on May 20, residents of Lithuania had already received an air raid alert notification. At that time, the reason was that a drone had been detected in Belarus near the Lithuanian border.
