It's ready to be used now.
The first Ukrainian guided aerial bomb is ready for combat use after 17 months of development. This was announced in Telegram by Ukraine's Minister of Digital Transformation Mikhail Fedorov.
According to him, the development was created by a member of the Brave1 platform. The bomb has already passed the necessary tests and is ready for use at the front.
Fedorov noted that the munition has a unique design, created with the realities of modern warfare in mind. He stressed that it is not an adaptation of Western or Soviet designs, but a completely Ukrainian development designed to hit fortifications, command posts and other enemy targets dozens of kilometers after launch.
The weight of the warhead is 250 kilograms. The first experimental batch has already been purchased by the Defense Ministry, and pilots are practicing combat scenarios and adapting the use of the new weapon in real conditions.
The minister said that in the near future Ukrainian guided bombs will begin to be used against enemy targets. He also emphasized that Ukraine continues to scale solutions that increase the range and accuracy of defeat and change approaches to modern warfare.
