May 14, Lithuanian Foreign Ministry handed a note of protest to the acting chargé d'affaires of the Belarusian embassy due to violations of airspace on the night of May 13. This was reported by the Lithuanian Foreign Ministry.

"The Belarusian representative was once again reminded that such ongoing incidents are considered as serious violations of international law and deliberate hybrid attacks against Lithuania, for which Belarus bears responsibility," the ministry said.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Lithuania informed the Belarusian representative that the violation of the airspace was a direct threat to the safety of civil aviation and led to the need to impose temporary restrictions on the airspace over Vilnius International Airport.
