The developer has revealed a secret.
The use of robots on the Ukrainian front is growing rapidly, replacing humans at the most dangerous points - from logistics to direct combat encounters, Business Insider reports (translated by Unian).
According to Oleh Fedorishin, director of research and development at DevDroid, the main advantage of Ukrainian systems is the speed of upgrades.
He said Ukrainian developments are upgraded as easily "as cell phones or operating systems." This makes it possible to fix programming errors in minutes right during combat.
"We can update it remotely, add new features and fix bugs," he emphasized in a comment to the publication.
According to the material, the company maintains round-the-clock chat with each unit. Even at 03:30 at night, the military can get technical assistance, which is critical in modern warfare.
Besides software, developers are constantly improving the "hardware". Reportedly, every six months a major modification of the systems is carried out. In particular, this has allowed the distance the robot travels to be more than doubled. To maximize the speed of repairs, DevDroid teams are based near the front line, providing a service that Fedorishin likened to "a guarantee, like buying a new car."
He also shared that ideas for new versions are often suggested by the fighters themselves.
Western partners already recognize that they need to learn from the AFU. According to Admiral Pierre Vandieu, NATO's Supreme Allied Commander for Transformation, the Alliance desperately needs Ukraine's "DNA of adaptation."
