On Thursday night, April 16, the aggressor country Russia launched another attack on the Ukrainian capital. The enemy launched ballistic missiles at Kiev, and a series of explosions were heard. Five people died, among them a 12-year-old boy. Another 21 people were injured, writes OBOZ.UA.

The AFU Air Force warned of the threats. Air defense forces were working on the missiles, Mayor Vitali Klitschko said.
Shevchenkovsky district

Missile debris also fell at two locations in the Shevchenkovsky district: on the territory near an apartment building and on a playground at another address. There was no subsequent fire.
Podolsky district
In this area of the capital a hit was recorded in a non-residential building.There was also a fall of debris at several locations - at one of them in a residential building there was a fire on the first floor, in another apartment building windows were damaged. The debris also partially destroyed a three-story mini-hotel building and damaged nearby houses.

A rocket debris hit the 6th floor of a 16-story apartment building, without ignition.As a result of the fall of debris, a private house was partially destroyed. A child and his mother were rescued from under the rubble.
Beneath the rubble of one of the houses were found 2 dead, one of them a child of 12 years old, 3 more people were injured by glass.

Obolonsky district
An office building in Obolonsky district was damaged with subsequent burning of structures and parked cars. As a result of repeated shelling, 4 medics were injured.
Parked cars caught fire, a nearby warehouse building, a tire store and a store building were damaged. In Obolonskyi district 2 people were killed, 6 people were also injured, including 4 ambulance workers and 2 police officers who arrived on the scene.
Dneprovskyi district
In Dneprovskyi district of Kiev, rocket debris was found in an open area.

As of 6:30 a.m. in the Ukrainian capital, five people were dead, including a child, and 21 people were injured in the Russian shelling. Medics hospitalized 11 victims, the rest were treated on the spot and on an outpatient basis. Emergency services continue to work on the ground and eliminate the consequences of the attack.
