As a result of a nighttime attack by Russia, the Northern Bridge in Kyiv has been damaged. Traffic on the bridge has been closed in both directions, and experts are assessing the extent of the damage.
This was reported by Kyiv Mayor Vitali Klitschko.
During the attack, the enemy damaged the Northern Bridge, one of the key crossings over the Dnieper River in Kyiv. Experts are currently assessing the extent of the damage.
Traffic on the bridge is closed in both directions.
The Northern Bridge is the second crossing in Kyiv that Russia has damaged in recent weeks. On the night of October 27, the occupiers attacked Kyiv with ballistic missiles and damaged the South Bridge along with the metro infrastructure running beneath it. At that time, traffic across the bridge was also blocked in both directions.
According to the spokesperson for the Ukrainian Air Force Yuriy Ignat, the enemy fired several ballistic missiles at the South Bridge. In total, Russia used 16 Iskander-M or S-400 missiles during the attack. Ignat warned that it would take time to repair the bridge deck.
