Drones struck the Afip oil refinery.

The Afipsky Oil Refinery in the Krasnodar Krai of the Russian Federation came under attack by drones on the night of November 6. A fire broke out on the refinery grounds, and thick smoke rose above the industrial zone.

This was reported by RBC-Ukraine citing OSINT sources.

Video from the scene shows a glow and a fire directly in the industrial zone of the Afipsky Oil Refinery. Information regarding the extent of the fire and potential damage to the facility is still being verified.

After 1:00 a.m. local time, air raid sirens sounded in the Krasnodar Krai. Local residents also reported deafening explosions. According to their accounts, loud noises could still be heard even after the initial reports of the attack.

Amid the drone threat, Krasnodar Airport activated the “Kover” plan and temporarily restricted aircraft arrivals and departures.

“The arrival and departure of aircraft are temporarily restricted,” Rosaviatsiya reported.

At the same time, as of the time this article was prepared, Veniamin Kondratyev, governor of the Krasnodar Region, had not officially confirmed an attack on the Afipsky Oil Refinery nor reported a fire on its premises.

In addition, there are reports of explosions and fires in Adygea and Krasnodar—the latter was shrouded in smoke carried from the Afipsky Oil Refinery.
