Drones Breached The Russian Armed Forces' Defenses And Struck The Snezhny Machine-Building Plant

The company manufactures parts for the Russian aviation industry.

On October 6, it was reported that drone operators from the 4th Battalion of the 413th SBS Regiment “Raid,” together with other units of the Ukrainian Armed Forces, attacked a key facility in the Donetsk region.

The target was the Snezhny Machine-Building Plant, which manufactures parts (compressor blades and discs) for gas turbine engines used in helicopters and fighter jets.

In a video posted on the “Reida” account on the social network X, you can see a strike hitting the plant, as well as the fire that broke out afterward.
Snezhnoe has been occupied since 2014. Since December 20, 2017, the management of the “Motor Sich” enterprise has lost control over the assets of the local plant.

The publication ZN.UA reported on the loss of control over the Snezhnoe Machine-Building Plant as early as September 14, 2014, claiming that unique die sets— which determine the precision of aircraft turbine blade production.
