The Top 5 list is based on reviews from actual owners.
The history of the Audi brand began in 1899, when engineer August Horch founded his first automobile company. Despite changes in structure and ownership, one thing has remained constant in the brand’s cars: a flawless combination of comfort, performance, and German engineering quality.
Proof of this is that it makes sense to buy Audi cars even used. To prove this, the editors of SlashGear compiled data from J.D. Power and reviews from real owners to compile a list of five models from the German automaker that impress with their reliability and remain popular on the used car market.
Audi A6 (2008–2011 model years)

The updated version of the third-generation A6 business sedan is considered one of the most successful in the lineup. These cars are available on the market with reliable gasoline engines: a 3.2-liter V6 or a powerful 4.2-liter V8. Along with electronics that were cutting-edge for its time—adaptive cruise control, lane-keeping assist, and voice control—the car has retained the excellent durability of its key components. J.D. Power analysts rate the reliability of this version at 84 out of 100, while owners on automotive forums give it an average rating of 4.6 out of 5.
Audi A4 (2009–2016 model years)

The fourth generation of the popular A4 family was available as a sedan, station wagon, and convertible. The cars were equipped with a 3.2-liter V6 producing 265 forces or a more fuel-efficient 2.0-liter turbocharged engine; later, a high-performance S4 version was introduced, featuring a 333-strong supercharged 3.0-liter V6 and an S-tronic automatic transmission. The 2013 model demonstrates a high reliability rating according to J.D. Power (84/100) and has an average rating of 4.8 out of 5 from car owners.
Audi Q5 (2016 model year)

Just before its generational change in 2016, the first-generation Q5 crossover was equipped with the most advanced technology available at the time. The car was equipped with a panoramic sunroof, an updated multimedia system, and a wide range of engines: ranging from a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder to powerful 3.0-liter gasoline or diesel V6 engines, as well as a hybrid powertrain. Buyers note that with standard maintenance, the car has virtually no major drawbacks, as confirmed by a reliability rating of 83/100 from J.D. Power and a high rating of 4.8 out of 5 from drivers.
Audi TT (2014–2017 model years)

The third-generation TT sports coupe combines excellent handling with impressively durable powertrains. The model features a fully digital instrument cluster and reliable 2.0-liter turbocharged engines with front-wheel or Quattro all-wheel drive. The 2016–2017 models have one of the highest reliability ratings in their class according to J.D. Power (85 out of 100 points), and owners rate this car’s reliability at 4.9 out of 5 stars.
Audi A3 (2016 model year)

The 2016 compact A3, available as a sedan and convertible, stood out for its build quality and reliability, characteristics typically found in the brand’s more expensive models. The car was equipped with a 1.8-liter (170 k.s.) or 2.0-liter (220 k.s.) turbocharged engine, and the top-of-the-line trims featured a premium Bang & Olufsen sound system with 14 speakers, as well as touchscreen navigation. According to J.D. Power, the model scored 82 out of 100 points for reliability, and drivers praise it for its trouble-free suspension and high-quality interior build.
