Trump Spoke Out About Zelenskyy

The U.S. president began accusing his Ukrainian counterpart.

White House Chief Donald Trump expressed the view that Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy does not want to end the war and may never have wanted to. This is stated in his post on the social media platform Truth Social.

“Zelenskyy doesn’t care. And, frankly speaking, given all the money that Europe is generously providing him—and that Joe Biden previously gave him—he doesn’t want to end this war and probably never did,” his post reads.

Trump believes that two years ago, Zelenskyy could have struck a more favorable deal. Notably, according to him, Ukraine has lost its “seas and oceans”:

“Two years ago, he could have struck a better deal than he has now. His country lies in ruins, a significant portion of its territory has been lost, he has lost his oceans and seas, and the male population has been decimated—wounded and/or killed. I want this war to end!”

The U.S. president accused Zelenskyy of continuing to launch strikes against Russian oil refineries, even though he had urged him not to do so.

“Zelenskyy is targeting oil refineries in Russia that produce diesel fuel, knowing that these attacks are causing serious damage to global diesel fuel markets, particularly in the U.S. Farmers, ranchers, and various businesses are suffering greatly as a result, but Russia, nevertheless, is supplying the world with millions of barrels of diesel fuel at a low price,” he added.

The White House chief explained that he does not yet want to sign new sanctions against Russia, as this, in his view, could be the reason Moscow decides to walk away from peace talks.

“We are making significant progress, particularly in the ongoing negotiations regarding the hostages. Signing this document now would push Russia away from the negotiating table. I can sign it later or at any time I choose,” Trump said.
