A Belarusian Soccer Player Scored A Masterpiece Of A Goal

True, but into his own net.

You don't see goals like this every day: In the first half of the 25th-round match of the Belarusian Championship between “Isloch” and “Minsk,” the visiting team’s defender Ilya Sviridenko scored a true masterpiece—albeit an own goal.

“Isloch” was on the attack, and Sviridenko, 20 meters from his own goal, decided to make a block. The ball flew off his foot in a truly beautiful arc and elegantly settled into the back of his own net.

The Minsk goalkeeper could only watch as the ball sailed past him.
