The Polish intelligence services are taking this case extremely seriously.

A spokesperson for Poland’s Minister-Coordinator of Special Services Jacek Dobrzyński commented to the media on reports of a possible assassination attempt on Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz, reports Interia.

“We are talking about a high probability that these threats will be carried out. We are taking this matter extremely seriously,” he emphasized.

“A report regarding a potential assassination attempt on Prime Minister Donald Tusk, as well as on Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysz, was forwarded to the police via the SOP (Służba Ochrony Państwa). It was received in our inbox—and I emphasize—today,” stated Polish Ministry of the Interior spokesperson Karolina Halecka.

Galecka added that, in connection with this, Interior Minister Martin Kervinsky and Minister-Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Semoniak immediately ordered a meeting to be convened. The meeting was attended by agencies under the Ministry of the Interior, the police, the Special Operations Group (SOP), and ABW officers.
“We are taking this matter extremely seriously,” emphasized Jacek Dobrzyński, a spokesperson for the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services. — “I know that on many channels, many so-called experts are today expressing skepticism about why we reported this. Because, I emphasize, this is an extremely serious matter,” he continued, adding that “month after month, year after year, the intelligence services receive an increasing number of various threats concerning Poland and Poles.”

“At this moment, we are talking about threats directed at the most important figures in the state—threats to the safety and lives of the prime minister and the deputy prime minister,” Dobrzyński emphasized. — “This information is so serious and credible that we have decided to share it with you now,” he added.
A spokesperson for the Minister-Coordinator of the Intelligence Services noted that “we are talking about a high probability that these threats will be carried out.” — “Therefore, our ministers—Minister Kervinsky and Minister Semoniak—have determined that it is necessary to join forces at this time. Officials have gathered at the Counterterrorism Center to determine the next steps to be taken in this very serious matter.” “The meeting has just ended,” he added.

Dobżyński assured that the intelligence services are working on this case and that he will be able to report on the results of this work in the near future.

Responding to a question about the source of information regarding the possible assassination attempt, the spokesperson for the Minister-Coordinator of the Special Services explained that the services receive intelligence around the clock from various channels: the media, media sources, social media, and through operational means.

“The Internal Security Agency operates around the clock; its staff are constantly gathering and verifying this information,” he emphasized, explaining that he could not disclose any details.

At the same time, Jacek Dobrzyński assured that the prime minister is under protection and that the relevant agencies are ensuring his safety.
