A Citizen Of Madagascar Was Extradited To Belarus From The United Arab Emirates

He was wanted by Interpol.

A citizen of Madagascar was extradited to Belarus from the United Arab Emirates. He was wanted by Interpol for organizing illegal migration, according to “Euroradio”

In June 2024, the man brought 13 foreigners into Belarus: citizens of Burundi, Cameroon, the Comoros, and Nigeria. They spent some time on Belarusian territory and then attempted to cross the border into one of the European Union countries—of course, outside of official border crossings.

The handover of a citizen of Madagascar to the Belarusian police took place at Dubai Airport. He was flown to Minsk on a Belavia flight.

It is worth recalling that on October 5–6, members of the Latvian National Armed Forces discovered a group of 20 illegal migrants who were attempting to cross the border from Belarus. The migrants were accompanied by several armed, masked men. They threatened the Latvian soldiers. A few hours later, masked men invaded Latvian territory, damaged an electrical panel, and stole video cameras.
