Security services have been called to an emergency meeting.

Polish police received a report of a possible assassination attempt on Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Defense Minister and Deputy Prime Minister Władysław Kosiniak-Kamysz.

This was reported in X reported the press secretary for the Minister-Coordinator of the Special Services Jacek Dobrzyński.

According to the official, the intelligence services were instructed to take action after receiving information about possible assassination attempts on high-ranking Polish officials.

“In connection with information received by the police regarding a possible assassination attempt on Prime Minister Donald Tusk and Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Defense Vladislav Kosiniak-Kamysz, the Minister-Coordinator of Special Services Tomasz Semoniak and the Minister of the Interior and Administration Martin Kervinsky have ordered measures to be taken in this matter,” Dobrzyński said.

An emergency meeting of representatives from the intelligence services and the police has been scheduled for October 11.

Regarding the urgent meeting of service representatives reported the spokesperson for the Polish Ministry of the Interior and Administration Karolina Halecka.

According to her, the police received information about a possible assassination attempt on Tusk and Kosiniak-Kamysz, who also serves as Minister of National Defense.

A meeting of representatives from the police, the State Protection Service, and the Internal Security Agency is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. Polish time.

Details of the possible threat and the source of the information have not yet been disclosed.
