On the night of October 1, a major fire broke out at a plastics manufacturing plant in the Vladimir Region of Russia. This was reported by Dialog.UA after monitoring social media and messaging apps.
Reports of a fire at a plastic manufacturing plant in the Vladimir region began to surface early in the morning on October 1. The incident occurred in the city of Petushki. The fire engulfed the entire interior of the production building. The total area affected by the fire was 3,900 square meters. Forty-seven people and 13 pieces of equipment from the Ministry of Emergency Situations were deployed to fight the fire.
At the time of this report, the fire had been contained to an area of 3,900 square meters. At least, that is according to the local EMERCOM office; firefighting efforts are ongoing. The cause of the fire is not yet known.
It should be noted that fires at various industrial facilities have become frequent in Russia recently. For example, in September, an explosion and fire occurred at a pyrotechnics factory in Kubrinsk, Yaroslavl Region, killing at least 14 people. The cause of this tragedy has not yet been determined.
