Media: Kadyrov's Adviser Joins BNBC Council

He is also connected with the former Russian ambassador to Belarus.

Politician and businessman Lev Denigov, who is an advisor to Chechen President Ramzan Kadyrov and the Secretary of State of the so-called Union State, former Russian Ambassador to Belarus Dmitry Mezentsev, has been included into the Board of Directors of the Belarusian National Biotechnology Corporation at the last meeting of its shareholders late this March, the Office Life newspaper reports. May 26, the First Biotechnology Forum of the so-called Union State is scheduled on the basis of the BNBC, to which Dengov was invited as one of the honored guests.

At the end of 2022, Lev Dengov set up Adam Bio. Media reports that it signed a contract early in 2023 to sell BNBC's products on the Russian market for 11.82 billion Russian rubles (about $150 million). Earlier this year, Lev Dengov became an advisor to CITIC International Investments and CITIC Construction in Russia and Belarus. One of them, CITIC International Investments, is one of the founders and key shareholders of BNBC. The Belarusian state and a group of companies from Great Britain and the UAE were also involved in the foundation of the corporation (their membership was later changed).

Officially, the complex for the production of feed, premixes and amino acids, located in the Pukhovichi district, was opened last November. To supply raw material to the BNBC, farms in five districts with the total land area of over 100 thousand hectares were transferred to it.

Lev Denhov is a well-known figure in political and public life in Russia, and, more recently, in the biotechnology industry of both countries. Born in Minsk, he studied in one of the capital's schools, but got higher education in Russia and Germany. His name became widely known in the second half of the 2010s due to his personal involvement in the process of releasing Russian and Belarusian citizens from prison in Libya. He is also the husband of A-Studio band lead singer Keti Topuria.
