Prices Of Services Varying Most From Region To Region

As it turned out, the gap can be quite impressive.

It would seem that Belarus is a small country, and the price increase here should be more or less even. But it is far from being so. We have analysed inflation in March and selected the items of services, the rise in prices of which varied most considerably in the regions.

It turned out that the greatest variation in price changes in March was observed in the cost of visiting circuses. While in some regions the ticket price for a performance decreased by 1.1%, in Homel region, on the contrary, it increased by 52.8% in March 2022.

A significant difference in the rate of price increases is noted in the field of international tourism services. While in Minsk they rose by 4.7% for the year, in Mahiliou they increased by 46.8%.

A significant difference is noted in the provision of baths and saunas. For example, the price of such services in Minsk region went down by 19%, while in Hrodna region, on the contrary, it increased by 21.3%.

What other services showed the highest dispersion in inflation in March? These are travel services (from +5.5% in Minsk to +44.7% in Mahiliou region), repair of jewellery (from +7.3% in Hrodna region to +43.2% in Minsk), of concert halls (from +3.4% in Mahiliou region to +35.6% in Minsk region), museums (from +4.9% in Mahiliou region to +35.8% in Vitsebsk region), of municipal waste management (from +9.2% in Minsk to +34.9% in Homel region), as well as washing machine repair (from +0.5% in Minsk to +25.9% in Homel region).
