South Africa Luring Putin To BRICS Summit Where He Could Be Arrested

Will the Russian ruler risk a flight to South Africa?

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin will be invited to the BRICS summit in the Republic of South Africa, even though he is liable to be arrested there.

This has been announced by South Africa's foreign minister, Naledi Pandor, reports Sky News.

She confirmed that an official invitation to the meeting of the BRICS leaders - Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa - would soon be sent to Putin.

It remains to be seen whether the dictator will accept such an invitation against the backdrop of the threat of being arrested.

It is worth noting that South Africa is bound by the decisions of the International Criminal Court, which allowed Putin's arrest.

It should be reminded that the ICC has issued a warrant for Putin's arrest as early as March 17.
