Russian, Chinese Military Planes Enter South Korean Airspace

The combat aircraft stayed there for 18 minutes.

On November 30, Chinese and Russian warplanes entered South Korea's air defence identification zone without prior notification to Seoul. This was reported by the South Korean Yonhap news agency.

According to South Korea's Joint Chiefs of Staff, two Chinese H-6 bombers entered the Republic of Korea's air defence identification zone at 05:48 local time. The incident was repeated an hour later.

At 12.18 p.m., two Chinese H-6s and six Russian military aircraft (four TU-95 bombers and two Su-35 fighters) entered the zone. They stayed there for 18 minutes. South Korea claims that the Chinese and Russian warplanes carried out joint training during the flights.

In recent times, tensions in the region have also been aggravated by North Korea, which has intensified its ballistic missile tests in the direction of Japan and South Korea.
