The Lukashists want to shift the care of elderly parents to children.

"What kind of pension can a woman who devoted herself entirely to her family and did not work a day count on?" they said in the "In Essence" ("Po sushestvu") STV show.

"We say that parents of a large family should take care of their children. But we forget that when children grow up, they are obliged to take care of their parents," said Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Protection of Belarus Valery Kavalkou. "A mother of many children builds her life path in such a way that she invests everything in her children and has the right to count on their care. As for the pension: yes, she will have a pension, it will be a social pension, and she will be registered for it at the age of 63."

Recall that the size of the social pension by age from August 2022 is 164.25 Belarusian rubles.

"Moreover, 12 years of parental leave will also constitute the total experience," Kavalkou noted. Total experience should not be confused with work experience.
