‘Basta!’: Brest Hospitals Overcrowded

Ordinary patients are being transferred to the medical institutions in Kobryn.

Brest readers of the ‘Basta!’ Telegram channel are writing that, due to the lack of room in the hospitals of the regional center, some patients have been transported to Kobryn.

“Both infectious diseases departments at the Brest regional hospital are now working only with the patients with suspected coronavirus,” the reader writes. “Part of the wards in the cardiological and cardio-surgical departments have been freed for them, too. My relative works in the infectious diseases department, she signed the non-disclosure obligation last week.

Because Brest hospitals are overcrowded, ordinary patients (without the coronavirus symptoms) are taken to Kobryn. There, it’s mayhem, doctors work two shifts in a row. Some patients were transported from the Brest regional hospital to the Kobryn central district hospital yesterday,” the readers of the Telegram channel inform.
