Lukashenka's Vehicle Park Got New Armored Limousine Worth €1.4 Million

Even Putin doesn't have a Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard like that.

The newest Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard with the numbers of Lukashenko's administration showed up at the stadium "Dynamo", kp.by writes. This is the latest generation of armored limousines from Mercedes. It is assumed that the dictator will arrive in the same car for the parade on July 3.

Mercedes-Maybach Pullman Guard supplies started last year. But customers have to wait a long time: it takes about nine months to build each of the cars. Drivers and passengers are protected by armored steel under the floor and around the perimeter of the cabin, steel in combination with Kevlar in the roof, bulletproof glass over 6 centimeters thick made by the Italian company Isoclima.

There is also a secret: instead of the rear window, there is an armor blank hidden from the outside by a standard glass. As a result, the limousine meets the level of protection of VR9 - the limousine can easily survive a fire at the point-blank range from assault rifles. And the explosion protection complies with the ERV 2010 standard: the limousine can withstand an explosion of 15 kg of trotylene in two meters from the car and one meter above the ground.

The huge rear doors of the limousine are difficult to open manually, so the car is equipped with an electric drive to help open and close them. And hydraulics ensures lifting and lowering of polycarbonate laminated safety glasses. The limousine weighs 5.1 tons. The car is powered by a six-liter engine that has 530 horsepower.

The interior is of the highest quality, with a bar and massage chairs. There is also a protective armored partition, which not only separates VIP-persons from the driver and bodyguard sitting in front, but also protects them.

The basic price of an armored car is 1.4 million euros. And with options like sirens, strobes, loudspeakers and other individual equipment, it can grow even higher - in fact, there is no limit. Today it is the most expensive executive car in the world.

It is not known who else from the world's heads of state uses such a car. It could be, for example, Putin. But last year, he switched to the "domestic car industry" - a limousine of the Cortezh project - which is exactly the one that appeared in the streets of Minsk. The number of cars already manufactured is also unknown, but it is obvious that there are very few of them.

And what kind of car did Lukashenka use before?

The motor pool of the Belarusian dictator has more than a dozen different cars. Until recently, the flagman limousine was an armored Mercedes Pullman Guard - then of the last, and now of the previous generation. The country saw this limousine for the first time on January 21, 2011 during the live broadcast of Lukashenka's inauguration, the fourth in a row. By the way, this limousine showed up even earlier than Putin's.

Armored Pullman is made on the basis of Mercedes S-class of the fifth generation (body W221). The restyled version (Lukashenko's version is exactly the same) is manufactured since 2009. Under the car hood there is a V-shaped 12-cylinder engine with a capacity of 5.5 liters and 517 horses. Prices for new cars in Germany started from 900,000 euros and depended on the wishes of a particular customer.
