Putin Again Denies That He Started A War Against Ukraine

And he blames Europe

Russian dictator Vladimir Putin has once again attempted to shift the blame for the full-scale invasion onto Ukraine and Western countries. According to him, Moscow allegedly merely “responded” to Kyiv’s actions.

This was reported by the Russian Telegram channel “SMOTRI.”

Putin stated that Russia allegedly did not start the war but was forced to respond to events that, according to him, were provoked by Ukraine with Western support.

“We did not start any war; we were responding to the actions of Ukraine, which unleashed hostilities with the assistance of the West,” the Russian leader said.

However, the facts of the war indicate that it was Russia that launched a full-scale invasion of Ukraine on February 24, 2022.

Amid ongoing hostilities, strikes on Russian military targets, and pressure from international partners, discussions within the Kremlin about the war’s consequences for Russia are intensifying. Ukrainian successes on the battlefield and war-related economic problems are increasing pressure on the Russian leadership.
