Axios: Iran And Oman Are Preparing A Historic Agreement Today To Open The Strait Of Hormuz

The final decision rests with U.S. President Donald Trump.

Iran and Oman may reach an agreement by the end of Sunday, July 26, on the terms of a new agreement to resume shipping through the Strait of Hormuz.

This was reported by Axios.

It is noted that U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, July 24, ordered that another round of strikes against Iran not be carried out, just a few hours after an Omani delegation arrived in Tehran for talks on a new agreement regarding the Strait of Hormuz.

Two regional sources stated that progress had been made in the talks and that an agreement between Oman and Iran could be reached over the weekend.

It is noted that once Oman and Iran agree on all points, the decision on whether to accept the proposed agreement will rest with President Trump.
