Putin's inner circle has come under serious pressure.
Over the past week, Ukraine has launched strikes on at least 10 Wildberries warehouses in Russia and in the temporarily occupied territories of Ukraine. This was reported by analysts at the U.S. Institute for the Study of War (ISW).
These attacks could place an additional strain on Russia’s already stretched air defense system and will also cause increasing inconvenience for Russians.
Russia is urgently bolstering its air defense
On July 24, an insider source reported that Russia is urgently constructing additional fixed positions for the “Pantsir-S1” air defense system throughout the Moscow Region. However, according to analysts, such actions are unlikely to help the occupiers fully protect Wildberries’ warehouses.
“It will be difficult for Russia to include Wildberries’ warehouses and similar facilities in the growing list of rear-area assets it must protect. Disruptions to Wildberries’ services will likely continue to cause inconvenience for Russians in urban areas such as Moscow and St. Petersburg, which the Kremlin has tried to shield from the war,” analysts believe.
Strikes on Wildberries facilities could also put financial pressure on the inner circle of Kremlin dictator and war criminal Vladimir Putin.
