German Chancellor: Iranian Regime Must Be Overthrown

Friedrich Merz called Iran "the center of international terrorism."

German Chancellor Friedrich Merz called for a swift change of government in Iran, reports VBC.

"The sooner the mullahs' regime ends, the sooner this war will end," Merz said.

"Iran is the center of international terrorism and that has to end, and the Americans and Israelis are achieving that in the way they see fit," Merz said.

He also noted that the war could have "consequences" for the German economy, Europe's largest, and added that his government was "doing everything possible to increase independence in energy policy."
