France Has Sent Six Additional Rafale Fighter Jets To The UAE

Paris is ready to help partners in the Middle East affected by Iran's strikes.

France has sent six more Rafale fighter jets to the UAE in addition to those already stationed in the country, Minister of Labor, Health, Solidarity and Family Affairs Catherine Vautrin told RTL.

"We have sent six more Rafale - in addition to those already in the Emirates - as part of our agreement," she said.

French authorities said the measures are being taken as part of France's existing defense arrangements with countries in the region, including the UAE, Qatar and Kuwait. Paris, however, emphasizes that there is no question of sending ground troops.
