15 Belarusian Political Prisoners Have Been Released

Lukashenka signed a decree on pardoning 18 convicts, including 15 people convicted on political articles. Most of the pardoned are women (11 people). Six of them have children, including those with disabilities and in need of constant medical rehabilitation, reads the press service of the dictator.

Two married couples, a woman in the last stages of pregnancy and one convict, who broke the law at the age of 16, were also pardoned.

"All of them filed a petition for pardon, admitted guilt, repented of the crime, as well as promised to lead a law-abiding life," reads the report.
