Iran Attacked Azerbaijan

Iranian missiles and drones landed near the Nakhichevan airport.

Missiles and drones flying from Iran fell on the territory of the airport in the Azerbaijani city of Nakhchivan on Thursday, March 5. This was reported by Reuters, citing a source close to the Azerbaijani government.

The Nakhchivan International Airport is located about 10 km from the border with Iran.

CBC TV Azerbaijan writes that due to the Iranian drone attack on the Nakhchivan airport, teachers and students were evacuated from schools near the airport.

Two people were injured. The airport building was also damaged.

This is the first time Azerbaijan has been drawn into the Iranian conflict. Iran's ambassador to Baku has been summoned to the Azerbaijani Foreign Ministry.
