U.S. Eliminates Iranian Leader Who Was Plotting An Assassination Attempt On Trump

The US has eliminated the leader of an Iranian unit that was preparing an assassination attempt on President Donald Trump. The operation took place on Tuesday, March 3.

It was announced by US Secretary of War Pete Hegseth during a briefing at the Pentagon.

According to the head of the Pentagon, the US military managed to track down and destroy the organizer of a probable assassination attempt.

Hegseth noted that although Iran tried to assassinate Donald Trump, "the president had the last word."

At the same time, the minister noted that the elimination of this person was not the main goal of a large-scale US military operation against Iran.

"This was never mentioned by the president or anyone else. I and others made sure that those who were responsible for it ended up on the target list," Hegseth emphasized.

The name of the eliminated unit leader has not been released.
