The U.S. has struck more than 7,000 targets across the country.

Since the beginning of the conflict with Iran, the United States has struck more than 7,000 targets across the country. This was stated by US President Donald Trump.

He said the targets of the strikes were mostly military and commercial facilities. The president again mentioned Iran's Kharq Island, saying the US had "literally destroyed" everything on it except oil facilities. Nevertheless, he allowed for the possibility of such strikes in the future.

"We left the pipes. We didn't want to do it, but we're going to do it, we can do it in five minutes," Trump said.

He said those areas were avoided by the US deliberately "with the goal of someday rebuilding this country."

"I think we did the right thing, but that could change," the politician added.

All Iranian minesweeping vessels were also destroyed, and Iran "doesn't have many missiles left," Trump said.

Talking about disruptions to oil and other fuel supplies through the Strait of Hormuz, which Iran has blocked since the conflict began, Trump noted that the U.S. imports less than 1 percent of its oil through that transportation artery.

At the same time, he acknowledged that other nations, including Washington's allies Japan and South Korea, depend on supplies through it much more. Therefore, the U.S. wants them to send their forces and help with safe shipping through the strait, Trump said.

The U.S. president condemned allies who have rejected his calls to send ships to the Strait of Hormuz as part of a joint security mission. He cited their lack of loyalty to the US despite receiving American security support for decades. The US president was previously rebuffed by Germany, Sweden and Finland, with The Telegraph claiming the UK had taken the same stance.

But "many countries," according to Trump, have notified him "that they are on their way." Which nations he was referring to, the US president did not specify.

Trump called the potential naval mission "something very minor," even as Iran continues to attack tankers. He assured that he knew allies would not support the United States.
