Israel said on Monday, March 16, that it destroyed a compound used by the Iranian military to develop space capabilities.

It was reported by CNN.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) says the building in downtown Tehran was used to "develop military space programs," including the Chamran-1 satellite that Iran will launch in 2024.

Photos circulating on social media show obvious damage to the Tarasht Institute for Space Research in the capital.

A joint US-Israeli operation against the Iranian regime began on February 28. The airstrikes eliminated Iran's supreme leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei. His son Mojtabu Khamenei was elected as his successor.
