Dugin Proposed To Shut Down The Internet In All Of Russia By The Fall
Alexander Dugin

According to the ideologue of the "Russian world", Russians need to live and communicate without a network.

In Russia, the Internet should be completely turned off for the entire summer so that people can start "living a real human life," philosopher and ideologist of the concept of the "Russian World" Alexander Dugin declared.

In his opinion, it is necessary to abandon the Internet during the summer months and go online again in the winter. According to Dugin, it is possible to communicate with friends without the Internet: in particular, he suggests whistling under windows and riding scooters.

"If the Internet is turned off altogether, especially in spring, people will start walking, meeting, socializing, visiting cafes and stores, making new acquaintances, living a real human life. And you can turn it back on in late fall. The Internet in Russia must adjust to the seasonal cycles of bears and butterflies. In summer, it is gone, because there is life. In winter in a den or curled up as a worm in a high-rise hospice, you can have the Internet," Dugin wrote.

Last week, the philosopher suggested strengthening the state's control over society and urged Russians to treat this as an inevitable reality. According to him, it is better for it to be exercised by the state's own, rather than by external forces. "There will not be their own, there will be strangers. Yes, this is the world we live in, we have no other world for you," Dugin wrote.

He said that the idea of a complete absence of control seems attractive, but is utopian and unrealistic. In his opinion, control should be exercised "with intelligence, with care and attention," and its goal should be the country's victory in the war. "We Russians have always suffered in history. This is our destiny. We are a great nation, and if someone has been treated unfairly, it is only for humility and glory."

If the Internet is turned off altogether, especially in spring, people will start walking, meeting, socializing, visiting cafes and stores, making new acquaintances, living a real human life. And turn it back on...
