A Russian Drone Crashed Near The Nezalezhnosti Monument In Kiev

The center of the city was hit during the Shahed attack.

In the center of Kiev as a result of a Russian attack by Shaheds on the morning of Monday, March 16, the debris of downed targets fell on the Nezalezhnosti Monument on Khreshchatyk. This was reported by Nv.ua.

The footage circulated on the web shows smoke under the monument on Maidan Nezalezhnosti, near the GLOBUS shopping center.

No damage to the monument has been recorded.

Mayor Vitali Klitschko reported UAV debris falling in "the very center of the capital," the KGBA wrote about the aftermath in Shevchenkivskyi, as well as in Solomenskyi and Svyatoshynskyi districts.

In the morning of March 16, multiple explosions occurred in Kiev. The AFU air force warned of a group of attack UAVs and a missile threat to Kiev and the region.
