The AFU blew up the enterprise with a missile strike.
In the Russian city of Bryansk, the Silicon El plant was hit hard on March 10. Ukraine reportedly used Storm Shadow missiles for the attack. It was also noted that the plant supplied components for the combat control unit of a new Russian Izdeliye-30 cruise missile.
It is believed that this was the weapon that may have been used in the strike on a residential building in Kharkiv on the night of March 7. As Air Force Reserve officer and director of development for the defense enterprise Anatoly Khrapchinsky told "Channel 24" in a commentary for "Channel 24", the Izdeliye-30 and the Kh-101 missiles use identical control units.
According to him, there is a main plant in Russia that produces electronics - it is Silicon El. In addition, there is the Votkinsk plant, where ballistic missiles are made.
There are also missile industry enterprises in the Moscow region - in Korolev and Ramenskoye. The main cruise missiles are produced there, as well as hypersonic Zircon.
"Therefore, we are talking about the fact that the Silicon El plant produces most of the electronic components that are installed in missiles and aircraft. They can even be used in means of electronic warfare," Khrapchinsky noted.
So a strike on the Silicon El plant could negatively affect the production of the Izdeliye-30 missile.
