US President Donald Trump said Saturday that many countries will send warships to keep the Strait of Hormuz open.

"Many countries, especially those affected by Iran's attempt to close the Strait of Hormuz, will send warships in conjunction with the United States of America to keep the Strait open and safe," he wrote on Truth Social.

Trump also said that the U.S. has already destroyed 100% of Iran's military capabilities, but it's easy for them to send a drone or two, drop a mine, or launch a short-range missile somewhere along or inside that waterway, no matter how badly defeated.

Trump said he hoped China, France, Japan, South Korea, Britain and others would send ships to the area.

"In the meantime, the United States will bomb the coastline and continuously shoot Iranian boats and ships from the water," he wrote.
