Ukrainian drones on the night of March 14 attacked the Afipsky oil refinery and the Kavkaz port in Krasnodar Region, the regional operative headquarters said. Technical installations at the refinery caught fire as a result of the shelling, there were no casualties. At the port of Kavkaz in the Temryuksky district, a technical vessel was damaged, a fire broke out at the berthing complex, and three people were injured.
Afipsky refinery is one of the largest oil refineries in southern Russia. The company produces gasoline, diesel fuel, gas condensate distillates, heavy oil residues and sulfur. The main owner of the refinery since 2019 is Oil Technologies (a structure belonging to Safmar). Previously, the Afipsky refinery was attacked in January this year and in November 2025.
A total of 87 Ukrainian aircraft-type drones were "intercepted and destroyed" overnight over Russian regions, according to the Russian Defense Ministry. Most of all - 31 UAVs - were shot down over the waters of the Sea of Azov. Another 16 drones were destroyed over the Krasnodar region, eight over annexed Crimea, seven over the Bryansk region, six each over the Belgorod region and the Black Sea, and five over the Rostov region. The rest were intercepted over the Samara, Kursk, Astrakhan, Volgograd and Tula regions. In connection with the attack, Krasnodar and Gelendzhik temporarily restricted the reception and release of aircraft.
