Cuba Says Ready For Talks With U.S.

Cuba Says Ready For Talks With U.S.

The island is experiencing a severe economic crisis.

Cuba is ready to continue negotiations with the US, but on the basis of the principles of equality and respect for each other's political systems. This was stated by Cuban President Miguel Diaz-Canel during a press conference.

In addition, the Cuban leader said he was ready to receive FBI representatives in the country to investigate the armed incursion of a US boat into territorial waters.

In late January, US President Donald Trump imposed an emergency regime and additional duties against countries supplying oil to Cuba. Havana called it blackmail and a violation of free trade. Blackouts and fuel shortages began in Cuba following the cutoff of supplies and fuel shortages.
