Trump Has Admitted That Putin Is Helping Iran In The War

Just like the US is helping Ukraine.

The US president, commenting on US intelligence suspicions about Russia's possible role in the conflict, said Putin may be providing assistance to Iran. According to the US president in an interview with Fox News, Moscow is probably supporting Tehran - just as the US is helping Ukraine.

"I think he's probably helping them a little bit, yes, probably, and he probably thinks we're helping Ukraine. And we are indeed helping, and he has noted that, and China would say the same thing. In fact, they're doing exactly the same thing that we're doing, frankly," Donald Trump said.

The statement came amid reports from U.S. intelligence agencies that Russia may have been passing information to Iran that helps Tehran track U.S. military installations in the region - including ships and aircraft.

At the same time, Moscow has officially denied that it is passing intelligence information about the U.S. military to Iran. Russian representatives say they do not share data on the location of US ships, aircraft or military bases in the region.

Trump also said earlier that he had a phone conversation with Putin, during which they discussed two conflicts at once - the war in Ukraine and the situation around Iran. According to the US president, the Russian leader declared his readiness to play the role of a mediator and help resolve the crisis in the Middle East.
