A video of explosions in a remote region of the Russian Federation from Ukraine has appeared.
On the night of March 13, drones attacked military and strategic facilities in the Republic of Adygea, which is part of the Russian Federation. According to preliminary information, the Khanskaya military airfield could have come under attack, Dialog.UA wrote after analyzing messengers and social networks.
The head of Adygea Marat Kumpilov confirmed that drones attacked facilities in the region on the night of March 13. He says Russian air defense near Maikop allegedly destroyed more than 20 Ukrainian UAVs. He claims there is no destruction.
The Russian Defense Ministry's summary says that Russian air defense allegedly shot down 29 Ukrainian drones over Adygea tonight, and another 25 over the territory of Krasnodar Krai. The video is published by the Telegram channel Exilenova+.
The residents of Adygea claim that on the night of March 13 explosions were heard near the village of Khanskaya near Maikop, which is where the military airfield actively used by the Russian army is located.
Previously, the 272 training aviation Polotsk aviation base of the 2nd category of the Krasnodar Higher Military Aviation School was stationed at this airfield, so it was struck by the AFU.
For example, the military airfield near Maikop was attacked by Ukrainian BPLA back in October 2024. On March 13, the AFU launched air strikes against strategic and military facilities in different regions of Russia.
For example, Ukrainian drones flew about 1,300 kilometers and attacked the Uralchem military chemical plant in Kirov Region. This enterprise produces ammonium nitrate, which is used in the production of explosives, so it is a legitimate target for the AFU.
Ukrainian drones have previously attacked other strategic and military facilities in Adygea. For example, a local oil refinery in the town of Enem came under attack.
