Experts have described how the IRGC's fleet has shrunk after the loss of black holes.
The Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) has lost the use of three Kilo-class submarines it bought from Russia, dubbed the "black hole" because of their maximum stealth, a military expert said, writes Focus.
The United States Army Command has confirmed the destruction of the IRIS Taregh, and an OSINT search has revealed additional losses to Iran's fleet. What is the condition of the IRGC submarines and how much of the fleet has Tehran lost in 11 days of war?

The IRIS Taregh, a Kilo-class submarine, was destroyed at the port of Bendar Abbas on the shores of the Strait of Hormuz, wrote military expert Brand. M. Eastwood (Brent M. Eastwood) on the 19fortyfive portal. The other submarines were at piers awaiting modernization and probably also came under U.S. airstrike.
The article explains that Iran had three Kilo-class submarines. The fate of one of them, the IRIS Taregh, was revealed on March 4, when General General Dan Kane, head of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke about it. The other two were under extended repair, and US and Israeli aircraft caught them "napping". It is conceded that two more submarines may have remained in working condition, but they are unlikely to be used because of American dominance at sea.
"The Iranians have limited ability to threaten U.S. warships. They are likely to conduct only piecemeal patrols and will not engage in effective submarine warfare under such pressure," the expert concluded.
The expert named the Kilo-class submarines that Iran bought from Russia in the 1990s. These are IRIS Taregh (901), IRIS Nooh (902) and IRIS Yunes (903) boats. It is specified that, among other things, they can be used to mine sea lanes. It is noted that Tehran was modernizing them, but had problems due to the imposition of sanctions. However, they still pose a threat, as they can hide on the bottom from air strikes.

Iran War - IRGC Fleet Losses
As of March 10, the U.S. CENTCOM command claimed the destruction of more than 50 ships of the IRGC fleet, which occurred during the first 10 days of the military campaign in the Middle East. The data for day 7 is 43 ships: that is, conventionally, every three days Tehran's fleet is reduced by five to seven units. In addition, in less than 24 hours it became known about the defeat of 11 Iranian destroyer ships that threatened navigation in the Strait of Hormuz: it is not clear whether the said facilities are among the list of 50 reported 24 hours earlier.

According to Global Firepower (GFP) rankings, Iran's fleet totaled 109 ships: there are about 50% casualties. The infographic shows strike data for IRIS Sgahid Bagheri, IRIS Makran, IRIS Shahid Mahdavi, IRIS Jamaran, IRIS Dena, IRIS Zagros, IRIS Sabalan, IRIS Bayandor, IRIS Naghdi, IRIS Taregh, IRIS Shahid Nazeri, and the Fateh-class (or "Kilo") submarine. Iran had 25 submarines and confirmed to have lost probably one.
