The head of the Ukrainian Foreign Ministry announced plans to approve the strategy with regard to Belarus.
Belarus under Alexander Lukashenko and the dictator himself currently pose a threat to Ukraine's security. This was stated by Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga in an interview with "Nova Kraina".
"Belarus under Lukashenko's regime, and Lukashenko himself, currently pose a threat to Ukraine's security. We have volunteers from Belarus who are fighting to defend our independence and our country, and these democratic forces who see a future based on good neighborly relations with Ukraine are the forces with whom we will naturally maintain contacts and whom we will support," Sibiga said.
The diplomat added that in the near future Kiev will not only appoint a special representative, but also approve a strategic document defining Ukraine's policy towards Belarus.
