Israel Has Warned The U.S.

The IDF is ready to strike Iran on its own.

Israel has warned the US that it is prepared to strike Iran's missile program sites on its own because it poses an "existential threat" to Jerusalem, sources in Israeli security agencies told The Jerusalem Post. "We have told the Americans that we will strike alone if Iran crosses the red line we have set regarding ballistic missiles," one of the sources told the Post.

In recent meetings with their American counterparts, the Israeli military has also presented several plans to destroy Iran's missile production facilities. One Israeli military official described the current moment as a "historic opportunity" to launch a significant strike against Iran's missile infrastructure and neutralize active threats to Israel and neighboring states. Israeli officials, however, expressed concern that the U.S., in the event of an attack, could only launch limited strikes against Iran that would not eliminate the underlying threat. "There are fears that Washington could pick a few targets, declare success and leave Israel to deal with the consequences," an Israeli military official explained.

Israeli Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu is expected to meet with U.S. President Donald Trump in the United States on February 11 to discuss Washington's past negotiations with Iran over the nuclear deal.
