A shortage of teachers has appeared in Belarus.
Analyst Sergei Chaly told about what is behind the authorities' idea to create "an educational center for training personnel of promising directions."
Alexander Lukashenko held a meeting on this topic on January 26, writes "Salidarnasts".
The meeting, among other things, touched upon the issue of using the Center of Biology at BSU, which is currently under construction and where a modern research base for biotechnology, biochemistry and other areas is being created. Funding - and a decent amount - comes from the budget, noted the press service of the ruler. Recall that Nikoli Lukashenko is studying at the BSU Biology Department.
Sergei Chaly commented on the idea of the authorities in the issue on the BRC channel under the title "A charashka for Kolya Lukashenko.
He drew attention to the words of the Minister of Education Andrei Ivants that a number of universities are currently implementing experimental training programs. But, as the Minister noted, not all students will be able to master them:
- This does not mean that we are not preparing them well. We train them for all sectors of our economy. But we need a kind of special forces.
Chaly explained the logic of the authorities as follows:
- Most likely, we are talking about the fact that there are not enough teachers. We can still train 20 people or a few dozens of them properly. But more - not anymore. So let's do something separate.
Anecdotally, they first destroyed the separate elite education: because it was "not theirs", it was for "someone else" - "and why don't our children learn like that"? They destroyed everything that was different from the regular programs. But then it turned out that few people are interested in the "correct" knowledge.
Chaly also drew attention to the statement of BSUIR rector, chairman of the Republican Council of Rectors of Higher Education Institutions Vadim Bogush. He said that the project to create a new educational center in Belarus is comparable in complexity to the construction of the first nuclear power plant.
- It was impossible to come up with a better metaphor here," said Chaly. - It is immediately clear that it will be expensive and useless.
We understand the problem: there are two gaps. The first one - they say that "we have no right to lose them". What does that mean? That nobody of them (gifted students - note) goes to Belarusian universities, which teach all this ideological bullshit.
Okay, let's say you have thought up some (good - note) education for them. And here they are going to finish their studies. What are they going to do?! Go somewhere on placement? At best, they will be offered to work at the Integral Innovation Center or Planar.
