Around 11 am Minsk time, an explosion occurred at the Chopin airport in Warsaw. An explosive device of unknown origin went off in a garbage truck parked in an area adjacent to the territory of the 1st Transport Aviation Base, neighboring the airport in the Polish capital, writes onet.pl.

The head of the airport's communications department Piotr Rudzki confirmed this information.

- In fact, there was an incident during garbage removal, but now all services are working on the site. State services are dealing with the case," he said.

The journalists asked him about the possible evacuation of the airport.
