NATO Secretary General: Response To Suvalka Corridor Blockage Will Be Crushing

The alliance will not abandon Lithuania and Poland.

NATO's response to a possible Russian operation to block the Suwałki Corridor connecting Poland to Lithuania, a critically vulnerable land bridge for the bloc, would be "crushing," NATO Secretary General Mark Rutte said, according to Polskie Radio.

"Let no one think they can attack us," Rutte said. It runs along the border of Poland and Lithuania and separates the Baltic states from the rest of NATO.
